Mountain Mtn Media strives to create stories for children and families that help to merge the concepts of enjoyment, safety and responsibility in outdoor adventure, and to provide guidance and provoke discussion to contribute to further learning for a new generation of passionate, accountable outdoor enthusiasts.
The books follow the adventures of the Mountain Mtn. Rangers, Goat and Moose, weaving in education about topics such as Leave No Trace Principles, trail etiquette, bear awareness, fire safety, and avalanche hazard. Additional books are in progress to address topics including the 10 essentials and orienteering.
Each of the books has been vetted by third parties for accuracy of information including LeaveNoTrace.org, Colorado Mountain Biking Association (COMBA), American Avalanche Association, and Utah Avalanche: Know Before You Go.
